More for Developers
As part of the release of the Developer Edition of Movable Type, we've explained a bit more about our commitment to developers. Part of that commitment is a new developer network.
The developer network is a set of resources that we at Six Apart are putting together to help you make, distribute and, if you wish, sell the cool and creative work you do on the Movable Type platform. We're trying to make your job easier and more profitable while also giving you the tools you need to do new, more advanced projects.
The network also offers a community for programmers, designers, developers and consultants who offer tools or services that work with the Movable Type Publishing Platform. You don't have to be a coder; people who design templates and websites or offer consulting services are more than welcome. We'll even be helping with some new ways to reach customers and clients interested in your work.
Interested? Sign up for more information. We'll be sending a qualification survey to people who register that will let you join the network, and can net you some pretty nice benefits like a developer discount good for a free commercial license of Movable Type, membership in a new official developer mailing list, a developer subscription to TypePad, and information on how you can build up your skills. It's all designed to help simplify development for those who build websites, applications, or devices that are powered by Movable Type.
One more perk for developers: We're still giving away $20,000 in prizes, as part of our "Plug In to Movable Type" contest. There's an Apple G5 with a Cinema Display, copies of Adobe Creative Suite Premium with GoLive CS, a couple of 40GB iPods, and tons more prizes you could win. Get to work!
